Site 1 - Access: Turning left onto the road towards the A5025, just south of Cemaes, having come through Llanfechell village. We parked up on this (initially!) broad residential lane, then down a marked footpath on the right. If you are carrying a child on your back, watch out for low branches - as our daughter got a knock on the head which greatly upset her. Over a stile, down a very pot-holey field, through a gate (this bit was like a mud bath when we visited), then up hill to another visible stile. The three stones should be visible by now.
The stones: Three 6 feet tall (approx) very impressive stones; lichen and bird poo abound. Commanding views of NW Anglesey, and on a sunny day, no doubt this would be a great spot. |
