How long ago were these taken, or did you get special permission or a special visit?

Unfortunatly, these pictures are not mine. I was there last sunday with former archeologist who worked there 15 years ago when the cairn has been "rebuilt" to open the monument for tourism.
We were just 3 guys in the boat from Larmor Baden we had a wonderful time (see more oictures on my blog). One of the archeologist was telling us that 15 years ago, during all summer, he used to sleep in the chambers after his working days. Amaizing !
I went on lot of neolithic site (but I wished to visit Newgrange passage tomb someday...) and Gavrinis is really a must see. | mikeaitch
