This is the devastating view from the southeastern arc of the southern circle, at the boundary of their land, looking westwards into the field by Harptree Lodge. The Circle has gone. The ditch filled in and the bank demolished.
I remember viewing the circle here many years ago, having been told there was nothing to see, but to myself, it was all most impressive. There really is nothing to see now. Unless you like bulldozer tracks. |
| Posted Comments: theCaptain (2011-06-20) | This view is taken from standing on top of the bank in the eastern field, and is looking directly along the arc of the circle. The brown of the recently flattened bank can easily be seen.
