Of course its an illusion. Regarding the terraces on the Tor, Aubrey Manning in his 'Landscape Mysteries' TV programme (Open University, available on DVD) came to the conclusion that these were lynchets created by the monks of the abbey. That was back in 2003. Have there been any developments on the issue since then? |
