|Description ||Can anyone identify this stone for me? I took it in Pembrokeshire on a family holiday many years ago. I think it may be Harolds Stone on Skomer. Anyone agree?|
| I would definitely vote for Skomer as well! Visited there for first time this year - wonderful place - and I think line of headland halfway towards the horizon is the same as in the photo I posted. Happy to go back and check though!|
| The top of the stone and the pattern of lichen look very similar to one of the two photos you posted, as well as the headland. I think the identification is confirmed. Thanks Peter. |
| Yes -- this looks like the Harold Stone -- close to the lime kiln. Assumed to be Bronze Age, like most of the other standing stones in Pembrokeshire.|
