| Posted Comments: AngieLake (2005-05-30) | I love it Hamish! I bought some at the Blue Anchor in Helston this week - 'Spigo', a local brew. I'll pop out to the kitchen and get the bottle a minute, ha!ha!! (Souvenir for someone, that's why it hasn't been opened.) Oddly enough, I've never (knowingly) dowsed for water - can you believe it? The reason I said "knowingly", is because someone came up with the theory that when we dowse for 'ghost' (for lack of a better word) stones that no longer stand in their original position, we actually pick up water that has gathered in the compacted earth below where the heavy stone USED to stand! | hamish (2005-05-31) | My Mother ,bless her,Told me that standing stones drew up water into an aquifer.Perhaps these still remain after the stones have been removed.
