Description The sun popped out just in time for the last exposure at wonderful Poulnabrone. This image wouldn't have worked as well with my B&W film. Good thing I brought color film along with me, eh..

Thanks for your comment. You can definitely count on sunrise and sunset for beautiful displays of light and color, especially when there's an interesting subject in the foreground.

Beautiful!

Were you able to capture the foreground detail without pulling the detail out in Photoshop. My camera would not be able to get that sky, and keep the detail of the limestone pavement, I would have to apply "shadow highlight" in photoshop to come close to this - this image is really very good.

You're right about the Photoshop adjustment. The foreground is masked and dodged just like I do when I'm printing B&Ws in my chemical darkroom. I shoot my color images on Fuji Velvia and scan in the transparencies.

Wonderful evocative photography and stone artifact work from the ancients. It appears that this impressive monument is propping up that stunning cloud! Thanks Tyson, for your appreciation of my own photography on my 'Gefrin'.
