Contact them for permission to reproduce it. | | | Description | A 'must visit' when on the Mizen Peninsula as it is the only stone circle on that piece of land! 6 stones are upright, another 5 lie fallen and another smaller stone leans in the centre of the circle. Its higgledy-piggledy state gives it an air of drunken abandon but don't let this deceive you. Even in its 'ruinous' state, Dunbeacon still has pots of charm and some truly stunning views.
Getting there proved tricky, misleading guidebooks with vague directions were entirely unhelpful. The best way was to park up at the Standing Stones of Coolcoulaghta (they are just visible to the right of the line of trees in the top right of the photo). From there, Dunbeacon is visible to the east. We tried various farms seeking permission without any success and in the end just went for it!
