|Description ||A painted caster plast replica of the Ruthwell Cross in Manchester Museum, situated from the ground to first floor staircase. (The other replica here is the Bewcastle Cross).|
| I remember seeing a replica painted cross at the Irish National Heritage Park at Ferrycarig near Wexford. It's good to see how they looked originally. Also, when you see old wall-paintings in churches, you realise how much those older, illiterate, generations were enticed into these places to learn about Christianity.|
| Curious to know why Manchester Museum has replicas of the Ruthwell Cross and Bewcastle Cross? The photograph echoes the setting of the actual Ruthwell Cross in the church in Ruthwell. |
