This stone is clearly visible from the road and is unremarkable (NX086486). Awkward to photograph as telephone poles run close by. It is located near the Kirkmadriine Church collection of early Christianised stones.
The Landranger OS Map shows a standing stone nearby on the slopes of a hill near Whirlpool. We looked hard for this stone but could not find it.
