This is a stitched photo as I didn't manage to get a vertical photo which showed the whole broch and the end of the promontory which it sits on. |

(2011-05-21) | Excellent capture! This photo demonstrates how valuable aerial photography is to archaeology. No ground level view could instantly show the whole site in all its complexity, laying out every detail of the structure, as this photo does; no plan or drawing could so convincingly convey the atmosphere and beauty of the location.
You must have gone to some trouble getting the kite to carry the camera into position and then stitching the pics together later. It was well worth the effort! Let's have more aerial photos on the Portal!
