These were used for cremated burials. Sorry about the people in the photo, but at least they demonstrate just how tiny this circle is.

| Posted Comments: weefree (2004-05-17) | initial investigation shows that the summersolstice and wintersolstices at this latitude in 2004 shows that the angle between the 2 is 45 deg, however in -2004 the angle was slightly less (about 43 degrees re-skymap) i havent had time to check if the horizon will effect this angle, any input about this would be greatly apprieciated. SS this year 2004 is at exactly NE -WS is at SE. this circle may be contain alignments to both these events | weefree (2004-05-17) | there is usually a plan at each of the stone circles in aberdeenshire (usually by historic scotland etc) there is one at this site. posting a photo on this site would be helpful. otherwise each post about each circle risks being nothing more than a repetition of what has been posted before. thanks |
