(2005-11-28) | The "post box" suggestion came from Fred Coles in the Proceedings of the Society of Antiquaries Vol 34 p168 but James Ritchie in theProceedings of the Society of Antiquaries Vol 53 corrects this to a metal box containing verses of poetry. See
