Nearer the camera are more small stones in a kind of pavement, like those under the boulders. Was someone using the materials from the nearby cleared cairn that Burl remarked on in 'Circles of Stone' to make a new path, I wonder? Four other pics posted show more of this area, just to the south, and below the ridge on which the circle of Moel ty Uchaf sits.
