|Description ||An Inuksuk built for Chicago's Field Museum gallery of North American Arctic and North West Coastal Cultures. This inuksuk was built by Peter Tuqtu Irniq for the museum, using local Illinois stone. The original inuksuk (made from pre-contact eras and into modern times) are used as a directional marker to a location of good hunting or fishing. The gaps in the structure are meant to sight on the location or next inukshuk. This inuksuk is about a foot under 2 meters.|
