Iron age hillfort on the headland of Symonds Yat Rock, high above a complete U Bend in the river Wye. This promontory hillfort has remains of four rows of ditch and bank rampart, the largest remaining being the bank on the inside. The remains of these defences are now largely surrounded by the carpark created for the forest park with all the walking trails marked out from it. This is one of the outer rows.
It is also a place where many people go to watch the Peregrine Falcons which nest on the cliff faces surrounding this remarkable promontory.
