|Description ||Just one stone remains standing now. Where are the others? They are broken and scattered in the adjacent hedgerows. Don't you just love farmers - custodians of the land! The circle was described by Falkner in 1840 and a plan by W. Long shows that there were 12 stones in a circle of 37m circumference. So the damage has been done since then.
The circle is sign-posted from the road alongside the West Kennet Avenue and is just a quarter of a mile along the footpath that follows the field edge.|
