The largest stone circle in Scotland and the most northerly in the British Isles. It is two-entrance henge with bank and ditch, the latter up to 10' deep and 30' wide. There were originally 60 stones in a 370' diameter circle of which 27 survive. The tallest is nearly 15' high. |
