(2012-12-07) | There's an "earthwork " close to that spot on the early large scale maps ,now described as an "enclosure " .Described as "A rectangular enclosure of 2 1/4 acres, with the entrance and a smaller enclosure in the south-west angle. Excavated by Colt Hoare without result. Suggested by Grinsell to be possibly Medieval, it is later than the field system on which it is placed. | AngieLake
