|Description ||LOACHBROOK FARM, SOMERFORD, NR CONGLETON, CHESHIRE
This possible Neolithic long barrow was discovered in 1973 and scheduled in 1975. No excavations have ever been undertaken on the site, so its status as a long barrow is awaiting verification.

|iv often wondered what that was. Did think it was a mass grave for the plague victims.|
| The rumoured mass grave for the plague victims (catholic I believe) is also attributed to Priesty Fields. But information is sparse. Given the recent spate of housing development applications across greenfield sites, it would be really great to identify the correct site.|
If anyone has any information on the mythical mass grave for the plague victims, Congleton's Civic Society would love to hear from you! Just google us. thanks
