Contact them for permission to reproduce it. |  | | Description | On hearing legend that this stone at Stanton Drew will violently repel anyone that pushes it hard enough, Megalithic Portal member 'TheCaptain' as well as physically pushing the stone channelled his thoughts into it - although the stone did not appear to repel him, TheCaptain did admit that his idea of pushing the stone to its limits made his head sore.

(2012-04-29) | A very big thank-you to everyone who braved the adverse weather and decided to have a go at finding out if this stone can repel people. I don't think you need to push it, as far as I'm aware, a light touch is enough. It's one of two that I've heard of that can do this, the other one's at Avebury and is described by Sam Osman when Andy interviewed her about her first book Quicksilver http://www.megalithic.co.uk/comments.php?sid=2146413793&tid=31841&mode=nested&order=&thold=

SO: As part of the research for Quicksilver I went on a dowsing field trip around Avebury. The guide pointed out a stone which was said to have spiral energies swirling up through its core and warned us that if we touched it the current would fling us aside. Lots of the people on the trip touched the stone and were literally hurled about. I touched it and (as always) felt absolutely nothing. At lunchtime I met up with my family. As an experiment I told them to touch the stone without explaining that it was supposed to have any particular properties. My son, like me, felt nothing. But my husband, who is hugely sceptical about such things and my daughter felt a violent charge that almost knocked them over. My husband attributed it to the vibrations of the passing traffic!
If anyone does have any further info or tries this in the future at either site, or indeed anywhere else, please post on the Mysteries Forum, we'd be very interested to hear about it and hopefully to replicate it. | Andy B
