Description A Celtic well later Christianised, this is the only holy well in Scilly. Located on the rocky shore above St Warna's Cove on St Agnes at SV 88040778, it has three steps leading down to the stone walled chamber. St Warna landed here in a coracle from Ireland and was the patron saint of shipwrecks. Islanders gave offerings at the well so that the sea would deliver goods from wrecked ships of which there are hundreds around Scilly.
