Description Early morning fog lifting from a couple of satelite standing stones. These 2 stones are in close proximity to the main entrance at Newgrange, which is left or west of these stones.

Another beautiful black and white (non digital) photograph. Digital manipulation, for all its sophisticated cleverness, just cannot give the gradations of tone that you get from a chemical print! Then again - some of you digital types might like to take up that challenge!

I've just tried turning some of my digi images into black and white, and they don't have the same impact as this beautiful image. The detail on the stone is really hard to capture, but I'm not beaten yet, I will persevere!!

I would never stop doing the gelatin silver process, especially for incredible subject matter like this, but I'm about to purchase a digital camera... Does anyone think that's a good idea?? It sure would save on film and photo paper.

Please never stop doing gelatin silver! You will never get that quality with digital. If you want a digital, get a compact and use it for snaps or as a polaroid before taking the main picture.
