|Description ||Kiss-in-the-Ring stone circle, seen here looking to the west.
The longest prehistoric stone row in the world can be seen running away from this circle northwards to the right of the picture past my friends. |
|This is a real, proper job of a circle, with countless stones! I counted 22 stones first time (clockwise) and then 24 going anticlockwise. With a bit of delving into the long grass, I got to 26 stones on my third count.
The next morning I came back, this time in lovely sunshine. I counted the stones again, and this time got to 25, while my friend counted 23. This just goes to prove that it is impossible to count them accurately.
