Description The Nab "Horde"
Just a few of the many shale beads, the notched pebble and the "Venus" carving from Nab Head. Unfortunately I had nothing to show the scale, but the Venus is just over 1" long.
The picture was taken for Dewi Bowen's (Mafric) forthcoming book.

Could that 'Venus' carving be dual-purpose, fertility-wise? ;-)

More Mars than Venus I think ;-)

Angie and Rune - it definitely "swings both ways" for me.

I can't wait to read Cerrig's comment! ;-)

I'm assuming that the "Venus" figure is face down.

I always knew it Sem, and it's to scale for you too. Were you the model?

Let's have a vote then. Are the "lumps" breasts, buttocks or something else beginning with "B".

Whe I first saw it (lower right), I thought it was a C&B. A bit like as in man chicken and boy cows. And I have not changed my mind since.

Maybe they're her knees/legs, "Venus" figures are quite often sitting down.
