Description Os grid reference SD87453666. Standing Stone or gatepost beside a track close to Walverden Reservoir. Yes, I know the stone has been adapted into a gatepost, but someone who lives near here as told me that this is a genuine standing stone.

I don't know what age it dates from, though. But one and half miles to the east at Ring Stone Hill there used to be a stone circle. The stones were robbed-away to the local area, so could this standing stone-cum- gatepost be one of those? I expect a few contributors on here will say "its a gatepost".
