Description The two stones at the far end of the passage in the larger western chamber. The left-hand stone is an example of the typical 'diamond', or 'lozenge' shape attributed to 'female' stones, and its partner, a more slender, upright 'male' shape. Previous visitors had left offerings of bright red poppies from the field beside the footpath.

Excuse the rather no-nonsense description of these stones on this link - [got a bit carried away in 2007], but still feel it is a valid theory: http://www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?sid=2146413218
