Iron age hillfort on the headland of Symonds Yat Rock, high above a complete U Bend in the river Wye.
This is a view of the eastern end of the inner ditch and bank, the defended headland being to the right.
This is a smashing place to visit on a nice day, of which this was most definately NOT one. |

I never realised that rain could be photographed before, but there was a lot of it ! | holger rix (2010-09-07) | Ask Paul ! It's the Orb Bar Wave the ancients believed in ! | Sunny100 (2010-09-07) | I think they are orbs - often regarded as a sign of ghostly manifestations - only to be captured on photos. You sometimes see these at ancient sites, churches, holy wells and obviously haunted buildings. Some people think they are the "the little people" or fairies. They could, i suppose, also be raindrops in slow motion ie camera shutter speed. | holger rix (2010-09-07) | Ghostly Manifestations ! Holy crap !
I found some in a picture of my toilet.. is it now ancient or haunted?
Or both? Goodness me I never **** again | Sunny100 (2010-09-07) | Sorry to scare you in your toilet. Those could be down to something else! |
