Display of research work of Arthur Edward Pearse Brome Weigall (1880 – 3 January 1934,) an English Egyptologist and prolific writer on the histories of Ancient Egypt.
In 1905, after a diplomatic incident occurred, Arthur Weigall was appointed to successor of Howard Carter as Chief Inspector of Antiquities for Upper Egypt at Luxor, responsible for protecting and managing the antiquities of a region that extended from Nag Hammadi to the border with Sudan
