(2012-07-10) | Currently there seem to be mainly 3 species. Vipera berus, Natrix natrix, Coronella austriaca,
Epecially Vipera berus is partly very common nowadays.
But we do not know about the exact incidences in prehistoric times. The assumed sligthly warmer climate during most of bronze age in Scandinavia may have influenced the occurence too.
Furthermore i tend to agree with the common interpretation of the anthropomorphs' posture as being a worshipping one. | marginalbear
