Will be visiting Long Meg and Castlerigg on 21st - I belive 7.10 pm is the point when the sun is at it's highest.
First time I've done anything like this, does anyone know of any sites of interest to me???

The sun is always at its highest around noon - 13:00 BST.
The astronomical solstice occurs at 19:10 UT (20:10 BST).
Most people will be celebrating the solstice dawn at about 04:35 BST in Cumbria.

Hey Anon! I'll be at Castlerigg for the dawn on June 21st too! I've not been the before for Solstice but our fellow Megalithicas assure me that a lot of people do go. Long Meg is a nice enough circle, but it's right next to a farm and has a track running through the middle of it, so spiritually speaking, Castlerigg will be far superior. Remember it's important to watch the sunset on June 20th to have the full Solstice experience
