In the footsteps of Alfred Watkins.

The Society of Leyhunters will be holding its first meeting of 2013 in the Woolhope Room at Hereford Museum (where the formative talk "Early British Trackways" was first presented by Alfred Watkins).

We will be presented with a discourse upon the life and times of Mr. Watkins, including new research, and some archive material will be available for viewing. We will also be
presented with modern studies and appreciations of Leyhunting .

The following day, in the style of the Old Straight Track Club, we will be guided by Gary Biltcliffe, who has just published The Spine of Albion – A journey along the Belinus line, to
explore the Sacred Landscape of Whiteleaved Oak. Whiteleaved Oak is the focus of the “Circle of Perpetual Choirs” and is part of notable alignment.

Saturday April 20th and Sunday April 21st.

Book early as space is limited. Members and earlybird price is £18 per person.

Tickets from The Treasurer, SoL, 17 Victoria Street, Cheltenham. GL50 4HU or online

David Stevens, Social historian presenting the life and times of Alfred Watkins.
Jeremy Disley, Archaeologist and Hereford man, the archaeology of the Walton Basin.
Tor Webster, the Rainbow Serpent today.
David Furlong, Earth Energies+ members short talks.

The event is currently scheduled to last from 10AM to 5PM with breaks. We will be conducting our AGM at Midday.

There's also a field trip on Sunday by car-share to visit Whiteleaved Oak with Gary Biltcliffe.
