Q Who led the Pedants' Revolt?
A Which Tyler.
I have it on good authority that AndyB is compiling a book of Q&A jokes to supplement his retirement. Please contribute generously.

I thought I might expand this to include anecdotes as well.
In work today I was told that the brother of the person I was supporting would be visiting him. T (the brother) had been described to me variously as a "country gent", "looking like a tramp", "obviously well to do" and "worked for CADW". Anyway, T arrived looking windswept in a very expensive waxed jacket. After being introduced I said someone had mentioned him working for CADW.
After a surprised, "You've heard of CADW?" he explained that he was now retired, from the post as.... Cadw's Chief Executive! And no.. I didn't get to talk to him. While I was out buying food for the house he had a bus to catch!

An observation which hopefullywill be amusing to all if taken in a lighthearted manner on the sceptic/dowser dispute in steerage (mysteries).

From the bathtub the sceptic cried "where's the soap?".

"It certainly does if you hide it there!" retorted the dowser.

I'm sure it's genuine . And equally sure that if anyone who knows the area and the water table would also manage to get similar results , as is usually the case when diviners are not utilised .

Thanks Roger, but isn't this a re-working of the sceptic/dowser in a dark room asking "where's the candle?"

Right of course Sem, as every schoolboy knows Watt Tyler the solar installer led the Pantile Re-volt.

Well Pete I'm shocked. I thought you were sensible, not like the rest of us.(that isn't the guide book in the Stonehenge visitor centre is it?)

This reminds me of someone, likes music, used to play in a band, can be found frequenting wild and rocky places, occasionally burns medicinal herbs, covered in hai........! Ah, hmm, perhaps not him then.
