The Medway Valley Prehistoric Landscapes Project: A New Prehistory for the Medway Valley
Mon 4th February, 7.30pm, Rochester
This talk will describe the striking results of a
5-year fi eldwork project exploring the
prehistoric monuments of the Medway Valley,
directed by Paul Garwood. The investigations of
Neolithic funerary monuments, other megalithic
structures, a huge ceremonial enclosure and
other sites, have produced new intriguing
evidence for the ways of life and cultural worlds
of the people who lived here between 4000
and 3000 BC.

Coldrum:- Thanks for this. Paul Garwood is always worth hearing and I shall certainly attend if there are any places left.
He has written a nice piece on the Medway Valley project in the latest edition (Nov 2012) of the Prehistoric Soc's journal PAST, which is free to d/l and can be found at
