I noticed this interesting article on Eternal Idol yesterday:
http://www.eternalidol.com/?p=11590
A limited number of keen volunteers are needed for the dig at Mesolithic Amesbury.
People are asked to register their interest today (Weds, 3rd October, or 10th October between 11am and 3pm at Melor Hall).
Talks on progress will be given on weekend of 13th and 14th October.

Thanks Angie, I'll put that on the page for the hall. It says here
http://www.facebook.com/Amesbury2012
'see Visit Amesbury for more details - which I can't find - can you?
It also says people can email and register their details to AMHT1@uwclub.net

Hi Andy
I just found this message from you, but when I checked out the 'Facebook' link it came up with the Amesbury page, but to go into it properly meant I'd have to register for Facebook, which I'm not interested in doing. One of the few these days, it appears!
The other is just an email address, which would be useful for anyone wanting to get involved.
The original message said volunteers (who had to be 'keen'), could also register in person at Melor Hall next Weds.
Sounds really interesting, if you live around that area.
