Up to 89083 now!
I've been more waiting for the 100,000th photo by PID number. Even though that's not actually going to be 100,000 photos as some have been deleted over time.

Maybe we should think, in advance, of a way to celebrate this "magic" number (or should it be 102,400 - my binary's not up to much???).
Could be good for MegP having a naked portal-babe on page 3 giving her opinion on current archaeology. eg "Neil Oliver's flowing locks are so cool, but Mary's Beard has the edge."

we will of course need a special picture for the landmark 100,000. I remember trying to get something significant in for 50,000, and I think good old Thorgrim tried something for 10,000 or 5,000.
Will the portal cope with 6 numeric figs? there was concern for 10,000 and 5 numerals !

Yes I don't see a problem, only on admin's poor old fingers having to put in 6 digits to link in the photos where needed.
I was thinking of offering a prize for the 100,000th photo but the cat's out of the bag now  Mind you there's no way to influence the number they get given as long as it's not an admin person's photo - even then it would be tricky.
