I found this marvelous tract in an issue of "Leisure Hour", a popular English magazine of the mid-19th century.
Published on "Thursday, October 13, 1853" the columnist regales the Reader on a days' journey to Stonehenge - the account of which he claims to have taken place 30 years before, making it contemporary with Colt-Hoare.

Absolutely charming to read an account in the 'Olde Style', and to hear the musings and opinions of someone who must have been considered something of an authority on the subject.

A GoogleBooks compendium of several of these magazines, the article begins on page 657 - easy to spot as a wonderful woodcut illustrates the cover.
