Having seen some concerns regarding the dissapearance of Ffynnon Faglan on this site, here's the latest.

As the Llanfaglan community councilor, and member of this site It has been brought to the attention of Bontnewydd Community Council that this ancient well has been dug up within the last year or so.

I along with the council clerk visited the site this week to investigate, and we had great difficulty in finding the site. It seems to me that the farmer may well have used a 'destoning' machine to get rid of the well.

Just to let you know that the community council is on the case, but whether the authorities, will take action, I'm doubtful. The buck stops with the Welsh Government on these issues.

The local AM is Mr Alun Fred Jones, contact:

The Heritage minister is Huw Lewis contact: correspondence.huw.lewis@wales.gsi.gov.uk

Diolch yn fawr am eich pryderon/Thank you all for your concerns.
