[Can someone suggest or create a site page about these barrows to put this piece of news on?]
Spotted on the Horsens museum web site
What explains the burial mounds?
Sunday the 20th May 2012, at. 11.00 to 12.30.
Walking in Hansted Forest
Forest area with deep ravines and steep hills stores at the top of the east 14 burial mounds.
We go from high to high, and interpret the landscape and examines each high and puts it in its ancient context, focusing on function, ancient roads, Neolithic landscape with river and wetlands, subsistence etc.
Guide: Archaeologist Allan Skou Larsen
Meeting point: junction, Water Ave / Mrs. Garden Road (north of the waterworks, Water Ave 20, Horsens)
Parking: In the forest edge on Water Ave
Organizer: Horsens Museum
Free, no signup
Remember: clothing and footwear for road conditions
