hello, I'm new here.sort of.I've been lurking for a while.

can anyone tell me the best way to get to Stanton Drew by public transport? I waited in Bristol today for over an hour for a bus that never showed, and asked at both the bus station and the tourist information office, only to be met by blank stares.

appreciate any help

Hello, here's a theoretical answer according to http://www.travelinesw.com

CT Coaches Bus 672
http://www.travelinesw.com/swe/XSLT_TTB_REQUEST?language=en&dateDay=20110929&command=direct&net=swe&line=40672&sup=%20&project=y10&outputFormat=0&itdLPxx_displayHeader=false

or

Abus Bus 67
http://www.travelinesw.com/swe/XSLT_TTB_REQUEST?language=en&dateDay=20110929&command=direct&net=swe&line=38067&sup=%20&project=y10&outputFormat=0&itdLPxx_displayHeader=false

According to the journey planner on Traveline SW this is a doable trip but looking closely at the timetables they only work the other way round - ie going in to Bristol and back from Stanton Drew. To go from Bristol it appears you'd have to stay the night in Stanton Drew and return in the morning!!

Here are the operators details, best to check with them

CT Coaches http://www.coachhirebath.com
Abus http://www.abus.co.uk

Good luck, and let us know how you get on.
