Sunny asks "Is that banner at the top of this page St Peter's Church, Heysham, and the Anglo-Saxon cross shaft by any chance. Thought I recognised it !? "

Moved to a new thread as the one you asked on is now about the competition Sunny

Well I subverted my own thread really but anyway...

Yes it is, here is the original image, R L Dixon was kind enough to send me a huge version as we were going through images to display at our Bull Ring event. I extracted and reversed that section for dramatic effect as a header.

I can't tell you how difficult it is to find a super long thin image to represent our collection of ancient crosses - they are all tall and thin! Actually that is my favourite image of the lot.

Here is a guide to the previous set of header images.

I'll do one for the new set soon, many thanks to the contributors for allowing use of their fantastic images.

Oh and thanks for the kind comments on the new logo and header - that is just the start but I hate sitting on things waiting, incremental changes are better.

Thanks Andy, yes I Thought it was St Peter's, Heysham. Richard is such an expert with photography. I believe a certain person on TNA is going to be copying your ideas. Its only a whisper mind you. I did say you were setting a trend !

I really like the new header photos, I can imagine it's a nightmare picking a few from the many thousands! Would be nice to change them once or twice a year to keep a fresh look. I don't know the location but my favourite one has to be the cows Is there a prize for the person that guesses them all correctly?

Well I was going to list them out with credits but a competition to guess them all would be fun. And difficult. Give it a go and I'll think of a nice prize.

I will be changing them every few months or so as and when time permits.

If you think of any images of yours that would look good in that format then email me over a large version of the full photo, at least 2000 across and I'll save them for the next lot
