Where should I go?
Any place less crowded than stonehenge, but with a good atmosphere and still some people celebrating?
Or stonehenge? will it be open on the eve of the 20th, or just 21st morning?

The English Heritage website doesn't give any details, but personally I wouldn't "trust" it if it did.
I paid £14.50 for circle access yesterday (9/3) which gave me one hour from 16.30 - 17.30 to photograph all the "bluestones". We went in at 16.35 and at 17.05 were asked to leave!
I have the photos to validate the time but I am not allowed to publish them in any form (including the MP or any other web-site) without prior permission from EH.
The "National Trust" is just as bad. 1.30pm I reach Avebury and the car-park says £5 for all day or £3 after 3pm, plus the car-park closes at 4.30pm. I only wanted to eat my sarnies, take a leak and spend some money in the book-shop!
These organisations are making a mockery of the term "charity" and seem to think they own what our ancestors built!!!!
Sorry for the rant Cromlech, but if you find an out of the way place for the equinox, go there.
Best wishes

Yes Stonehenge is open,
latest info from
http://www.stonehengecampaign.org.uk/stonecam.htm
Saturday 19th March - Super Full Moon at sunset! The world is set to
experience the biggest full moon for almost two decades when the satellite
reaches its closest point to Earth next weekend. It will appear unusually
large in the night sky as it reaches a point in its cycle known as 'lunar
perigee'.
Meeting in the track west of the Stones Sunday night...
Managed Open Access will be on the morning of the Monday 21st March 2011
with access to the Monument Field permitted from approximately 0530 hrs
(sunrise at 0606hrs) and the site to be vacated by 0800 hrs.
Avebury is always a good bet but I wouldn't call it quiet. There are loads of other places you could go, look at our stone circle and row listings.

Sem, some say that people take no notice of that edict about not putting photos on web sites. Personally I couldn't possibly comment
EH are mainly interested in going after commercial photographers and even then they are on shaky ground:
