Having Moved to North-East Scotland Last year from Hampshire I was wondering if anyone else in the North of the country would like to consider forming a group to meet up say twice a year or once a quarter to visit some of the magnificent monuments to our ancestors we are blessed to have up here. Back home I would meet up regularly with like minded people, visit a site end up in the Pub for a few beers and a bite to eat, and discuss the happenings of the Day. I find it can some times be a bit of a lonely business visiting these sites. Although it is great to be alone sometimes. If any one else fancies the idea. Post It or drop me a line. I travel alot so say anything north of Glasgow..... Just an Idea.

Hello there Lenny; I used to organise meets largely in the peaks, and places more south than that. Might do again one day if I get some more inspiration.

I am doing a self catering weekend at cost expense in N Wales in October - mail me if you want details of that (shropstones@tiscali.co.uk);

More local to you are The Scottish Megaraks, many of whom are on the scotstone mailing list; give them a shout to see what they are up to. If you don't already, try also the stones mailing list for more general coverage.

Hope that helps a little

Cheers

Tim
