Is it just me, or is anybody else experienceing lots of problems opening portal pages recently ?
I have been having problems using the portal for several days now. Sometimes I get nothing, the site doesn't open at all. Very often certain pictures do not appear either as thumbnails or as a main picture. Sometimes pages start to open and then stop with just the header band.

Captain,
from where I see it (Hamburg) there are no problems at all.
Unless the server is running!
It is either completely down, or working.
Not talking about picture validation though.

I had to reboot a couple of times yesterday evening due to a problem I had caused so if you came on during that you would have had trouble. Things are running much better today since I sorted that out.

Yes, i am experiencing similar problems. Some days i can't get the portal at all for a few hours. At other times it is very slow going to recent photos, comments and site pages. This seems to have happened in the last week or so.

I found I couldn't access the site for about that time too, it was timing out, but no reference to "null"
Using Firefox.

It appears we were hit with a spike in web traffic. This seems to knock over the server and make it go into permanent 'go slow' until it's rebooted, which takes forever because it gets stuck in go slow.

I've read some manuals and made some adjustments. See if that 'feels' any better. I've reduced the number of connections and turned off some unnecessary things. If anyone gets a message like 'too many connections' and it won't let you on, post a message (when you get back on!)
