I am a retired biomedical scientist and now have more time for my interests in anthropology, archaeology, and history, including Dolmen and related prehistoric structures and artifacts. I am an amateur photographer as well. Am planning a tour to Jordan and have about 1 day free, while the group I am traveling with is staying at one of the Dead Sea Spa Hotels. I have been working the internet piecing together the information and contacted some of the authors of Dolmen photos. But sofar have not found enough detail to direct a taxi driver to any dolmen fields, like those at Rawda and Damiyah, which would seem the closest to the Spa hotels or some of the other dolmen fields. I have learned they are endangered from nearby limestone quarries. Has anyone on this Forum had a chance to visit any of these and give me more specific directions to them? Or do you know of someone else I can contact for information? If I should write to one of the other forums as well, please, let me know. Thank you for any helpnull
