In terms of design, the new Monolithic design - which clearly takes its name from the famed artefact in Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey - presents a solid black slab which is designed to recline at six degrees off vertical, which according to Sony offers a better viewing experience when you're plonked on your couch.

I would just *have* to take the back off the remote to see if it was really full of stars.

"...which according to Sony offers a better viewing experience when you're plonked on your couched."
(End of quote)
.. or 'couched on your plonked' if you've had too many wines!
What if the viewer is also leaning 6 degs off vertical??
[I was looking for a tall narrow TV!]
