Fabulous site!!
Could anyone tell me why Park Gate Circle is called Park Gate Circle?
I am aware that there used to be a Park House near Danesmoor which is reached by following the natural lie of the land running South East and roughly parallel with the River Amber as it flows through Ashover. I understand that this dated from Norman times (the House or Castle disappeared long ago though footing were uncovered a few years ago).
