I was channel surfing a few weekends ago when I turned on BBC1 to see some girl from Eastenders magically attacking Victor Meldrew in a Stone Circle!!

It turned out to be the final episode of the BBC family entertainment drama 'Merlin' and the rather plasticy Stone Circle was sited inside a ruined abbey.

After all the wonderful links I've recently seen on the Portal of modern Stonehenges, it made me wonder if anyone has seen some fun misplaced ancient sites (real & plasticy) on television?

Fans of Doctor Who and childrens TV may be interested in this episode of Sarah Jane Adventures where there is a showdown at what must be a fake but nonetheless impressive stone circle - complete with a Sontaran and a Bane.

Both still showing on BBCi Player

It isn't misplaced because it is fictional, but
National Treasure: Book of Secrets ends with Nicolas Cage and Helen Mirren finding a gold encrusted "Mayan" temple under a lake in the South Dakota Black Hills.
