This is suspicious. If a site is listed, no funding is required to "meet objectives", the area is just not disturbed. Follow the links in this company PR, and the National Heritage details are not available - in a government page!

Hmmm. Gvernment priorities - continue to encourage the destruction of the planet or say some scribblings from the past, hmmm.
Our priorities, hmmm.. Continue using the products that are destroying our planet and heritage, or stop hmmm......
It's all too difficult, let's do what the archaeologists do, they'll know best, if there's hundreds of them shouting about this one then obviously it should be preserved.
Let me know when you've found them.

Share price is $56 and never suggest that sales of rock-art are included.

Brilliant! I'd love to do a similar interview with English Heritage about setting.
"The setting of Thornborough Henges is safe"
"Then why is there quarrying to within 20m of the archaeological features?"
"That's not quarrying, it's implimentation of an environmental enhancement scheme"
"But it's still within 20m of the archaeological features, I thought setting was to be preserved?"
"It is preserved, the whole lot will be recorded"
"would you allow the same to be done at Stonehenge?"
"No, but Stonehenge is different"
"In what way?"
"It's got a visitor centre"
"How does that affect things?"
"It sounded like a good excuse"
"Finally, could you let us know what you are doing to make sure Thornborough gets the best proteection in future?"
"We will be working closely with the quarry company to ensure any future quarrying records all archaeology regardless of its importance"
"Surely Nationally Important archaeologi will be preserved in situ?"
"Look I've got to go now, I'm later for lunch, mail me, bye!"

Greek ministries of culture and antiquities did nothing as a canal company let the Diolkos Trackway become damaged. I wrote to the Greek Club in Australia without response.
SAVE & RESTORE ANCIENT DIOLKOS PETITION > Online Archaeology ...More damage for Diolkos as one more block has fallen during the kast weeks of October... Although the Archeological Service knew that this particular block ...
