Since our Inauguration last year the Cumbrian Druid order has gone from strength to strength, with public ceremony held both at Castlerigg Stone Circle near Keswick during the summer months and at Miltonrigg Woods just outside of Brampton during the dark half of the year.
Miltonrigg is an ancient woodland with the remains of a little-known Stone Circle on its edge, with a magnificent ancient Beech Tree growing from it, and is a beautiful, peaceful place.
Can anyone from the Cumbrian druids or elsewhere tell us about this circle?

More about Miltonrigg Woods (or Milton Rigg woods), including a map and information board. Nothing about a circle so it is presumably modern, perhaps something the modern druids have set up?

I know somebody that lives not too far away from Brampton in Alston and often takes a walk in Miltonrigg Woods.
They say it's a beautiful and diverse place but have never seen any evidence of a stone circle, just a large stone under a huge oak tree.
